What is The Law of Attraction?

The law of attraction, sometimes known as the “universal law of attraction” is a hidden force. It is constantly working in your life at every moment, just like the force of gravity, even though you are not aware of it.

In simple terms, the law of attraction means whatever you focus on you will attract more of that in your life. Like attracts like.

If you are constantly focused on negative events, you will attract more of those events in your reality.

How the law of attraction works?

Your body is made up of thousands of cells and your cells are made up of atoms. Atoms are subatomic particles which are energy. Everything in the universe is made up of atoms, including matter, that means you are energy! You are not separate from anything in this universe. We are all connected in an infinite sea of consciousness.

Matter vibrates at different frequencies and is constantly in a state of motion. The form you take depends on what frequency you vibrate at, at any moment in time. The car you drive, the house you live in. And even the money you make will have its own vibrational frequency. Just like you. If you become a vibrational match to something you desire, for example, a car or a job, you will draw that into your reality.

Law of attraction and manifestation

People are in a constant cycle of creating, this applies whether you are consciously aware of this or not. We are all creating our reality from our thoughts, beliefs, intentions and emotions, both subconsciously and consciously. Whatever we put out we get back. Our reality reflects what is going on inside.

The good news is that you don’t have to keep attracting into your life, situations, events and people that you don’t want. This is done by:

  • Challenging your beliefs;
  • Clearing your mind;
  • Setting clear objectives of what you want; and
  • Harnessing the power of your intention.

With these components, you can create a life that you desire.

Whenever you go to a restaurant, you don’t spend your time focusing on items on the menu that you don’t want. You concentrate on foods that appeal to you and pick what you want. Hence, 99% of the time you get what you ordered.

The same can be applied to your life. You can use the law of attraction for manifesting money, a great relationship, a new job, a house. Anything that you desire!

Is the law of attraction real?

Yes, just like the force of gravity, the law of attraction is constantly working to create your experiences. Think about something in your life that you were once passionate about. It could have been a job, passing an exam, buying a house or even a car. You would constantly obsess over it and you would exhaust all your efforts to get it. You were deliberately creating your reality during that period.

Think of another time when you attracted something that you didn’t want. You had negative thoughts and convinced yourself that an undesired event would happen and it did. If we focus on something continually, we have the power within us to create that event.

The power of intention is a powerful force, this is illustrated by a case in China, in which a patient was diagnosed with a 3 inch in diameter cancerous tumour in her bladder. After western medicine was no longer a viable option for her, she sought treatment at a clinic which specialised in applying ancient wisdom to modern healing.

Through intention, chanting and creating the right feeling they successfully shrunk the tumour until it disappeared in less than 3 minutes. This clearly demonstrates the power our intention, thoughts and feelings possess over the material world.

How much control do I have over creating my reality?

You have always had control, but you were not aware of this, you were creating your reality unconsciously.

Your reality is created by your conscious and subconscious mind and they are influenced by:

  1. Thoughts
  2. Feelings
  3. Beliefs

What do you mean by conscious and sub-conscious mind?

  • Conscious mind

Your conscious mind is the part of your mind that you use when you are making decisions each day. From deciding what you want to eat to learning new tasks. Your intention to make a change in your life is made with your conscious mind.

  • Subconscious mind

Your subconscious mind is that part of your mind in which information is stored from past events, it is a storehouse of programs that have been created and installed into your subconscious mind whenever you learned something new. That program is then recalled whenever you need to use it, for example when you drive a car, ride a bike and walk up the stairs.

Your conscious mind couldn’t cope with carrying out the tasks you complete each day if it wasn’t for your subconscious mind!

Your subconscious mind takes over all the familiar stuff and acts like an operating system on a PC with multiple programs running. This frees up your conscious mind to make new choices and learn new things.

Your subconscious mind will have stored memories from past events and formed beliefs about these events since your conception. These beliefs will be used by your subconscious mind when you are making decisions. They will continually influence your perceptions when you interpret familiar events.

It is estimated that we use only use 5% of our conscious mind, whilst 95% of the time we are using our subconscious mind!

No matter how hard we may consciously decide to do something, our subconscious mind will always influence our decision-making process.

These beliefs about yourself and your past have been buried deeply within your subconscious mind. They are constantly influencing your life and shaping your reality. With the right technique you can reprogram your mind.

How can I reprogram my mind to attract more of what I do want in my life?

You can use various techniques to do this. But the most important one is to become conscious when you are making decisions. Challenge your own biases and observe your behaviour. Question your reasons for believing in and doing different things.

Another way is to use self-help techniques that focus on cleaning out your subconscious mind. Plant positive seeds in there.

To summarise, the mind reprogramming techniques when used consistently and over a sustained period will gradually:

  1. Plant new and positive beliefs into your subconscious mind. When this happens, you will interpret events differently, leading to a positive and optimistic outlook.
  1. This will influence your desires, intention and goals, leading to positive thoughts.
  1. Those thoughts will create the right feeling. When thoughts and feelings are working in harmony with each other you will shift into vibrational alignment with things you desire.
  1. You will then manifest into your life the right opportunities, people and events. Encouraging you to take action that will create a life that you desire and are in line with.
