Strength Tarot Card Meaning

The tarot Strength card represents the feminine principles and compassion. The card is associated with the astrological sign of Leo which is a passionate, cardinal fire sign.

The background of the card is set behind a golden sky. The female figure gently opening the Lion’s jaw, with a peaceful smile on her face. She is successfully taming the wild beast. The Strength tarot card depicts a female, which represents strength, but not of the physical kind. She tames through love, compassion and bravery.

Her white robe denotes purity and innocence, whilst the figure above her head is the infinity symbol, which is also included in the Magician tarot card. The blue mountain with a peak in the background is the same mountain that is included in the Lovers card, symbolic of the phallic symbol.

What does the Strength card represent?

The lion in the card is indicative of our passions, desires and our instincts. The lion is sticking out his tongue, which shows an animal that is not aggressive but one who is tame. This is representative of submission and surrender. This ability is inherent within all of us when we trust ourselves and the process of life. The woman overpowers the lion with her strength from within. She wears a belt and crown of flowers, this crown represents a beautiful expression of nature and life that is transient.

When brought up in a reading the tarot Strength meaning denotes patience and being a rock to someone. It can also indicate a person who is calm with others, accepting and one who can show empathy. It’s also indicative of a motherly love, which is unconditional.

In a situation the Strength tarot card could mean having a gallant spirit, feeling an unshakable resolve, taking heart despite setbacks, having stamina, patience and refusing to get angry.

The Strength tarot relationship outcome relates to selfless love, kindness and forgiveness. It could also indicate a need for space from your partner, or a need to forgive.
